Kati began playing rugby after her brother suggested it to her; however, it was her coach, John Walizewski, who made her believe in herself. Kati has played for various rugby clubs, including: Kettle Moraine Girls RCF, U-19 WI, U-19 Midwest 7’s, U-23 Midwest, and currently University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.

Kati graduated from Kettle Moraine High School in 2006, where she was the class vice-president and on honor roll. Kati is currently attending University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, where she is playing rugby. Other past times of hers include running, shopping, and boating. The person in the sport that Kati admires the most is England’s Jonny Wilkinson.
