Mark started playing sevens for OMBAC in 2004. From there, he was noticed by the National Sevens Team selectors and made his debut on the international circuit in 2005 at the Wellington and San Diego IRB Sevens World Series events. In 2006, he moved to Denver to play for the Barbos. In the 2007-2008 season, Mark played in three of the USA’s IRB Sevens Series events. In 2008-2009, he played in six of the IRB Sevens Series events and was the third leading try scorer on the team. |

Growing up in Ames, Iowa, Mark played football, wrestled and ran track in high school. He attended Iowa
State University where he played four years of rugby and graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering in 2006. He
currently works as the warehouse supervisor for USA
Rugby and is spending most of his time playing rugby. |

Mark is becoming very proficient at recovering from injuries. He has had two knee surgeries, surgery on a torn abdomen and most recently broke his foot in Dubai. |
